AbstractAfter analyzing the dredging diesel updating for trailing suction hopper dredger that imported
from abroad，this paper gives a demonstration of operation characteristics，application range，relevant
technological problems and solvent of new machine type．The particulars show that the selection of diesel
engine for mud pump and solving of relevant technique are successful and can guarantee efficient operation．
